Fructose

Also known as fruit sugar, fructose is a popular nutritive sweetener. A natural simple sugar, it is often used in baked goods, confectionery, beverages, ice creams and canned foods.

Overview

Fructose has a sweet, clean and fruity taste; it is sweeter than glucose and sucrose (table sugar). It is popular in baked products for enhancing sweetness, texture, binding and moisture retention.

It is also popular in soft drinks, fruit juices and energy drinks where it can be used in conjunction with other sweeteners, like glucose. With a low impact on blood sugar levels, it is often used in products marketed as a healthy, low-glycemic alternative.

Our fructose is available as a powder (25kg bags) and a syrup (25L, 200L, 1000L, bulk transfer).
